Two things I might change, give me a thumbs up or down for each...

1) Open external link targets in new window by default (easier for me pre-coffee in the morning)
2) Move avatars from the right side of the post to the left (I don't care, but some are passionate about having them on the left)

My vote:

Thumbs up on opening external links in new window.

Thumbs down on moving avatars.
I guess the "standard" is having avatars and member info on the left, but I like it on the right. It's less prominent that way and the focus is on the actual post.
can you hear me now?

Agree on the focus on the actual post. The feedback that I get on established forums (like 8 years old) is that they read from left to right, so the avatar should be on the left. So, we learn that some forum users scan for users first, then read their post 2nd. That makes sense -- but this forum has the ability to group and ignore, creating a custom browsing experience if desired.

1) Thumbs up. I right-click each link to open it in a new window anyway.
2) Thumbs down. I like the right-side concept.

Ok, I added new targets and nofollows to both sets of links (manual and auto links).

I also added dynamic meta desc and keys, improved the titles, and added some cool rss feeds that are probably overkill for his site. ;)
