Optimize your organic search results leveraging social media & blogging

Jenine Soyka - Verio

Verio offers reseller accounts for webdevelopers for their clients with an attractive margin.

via1 partner program
15% monthly comission on verio products they purchase.

via3

cool benefit - they wont charge you for the first month or two while you are migrating over to their environment from another provider

Heather Lutze

Search Engine Marketing - connecting with customers with the right keywords when they are ready to purchase your products or services.

1. connect with right keywords
2. edit your social media profiles & elements with keywords
3. measure

1.
step away from ego keywords. Use 3, 4 and 5 keyword phrases. The longer the keyword phrase, the quicker you will show up.

longer search phrases get customers in the late stages of the buying cycle.
ex: "hosting" vs "dedicated linux server web hosting"

use google keyword tool (external)
use keyword discovery

2.
Blogging:
blog title, in the preview (the description that gets in the rss feed, and in the blog body also).

Use tools like sharethis.com

Facebook, posts need to have keywords, in your about section

LinkedIn Profile - first and last name then dash then kewords
-websites - use link text in linked in websites. select the "other" category when setting up your profile and type in what you want.

twitter.com - use keywords in posts when sending out links.

youtube.com - write a lot of content here and use keywords and populate them into your profiles into youtube.
keyword tag each video title.

3. Measurement tools available from youtube. Facebook it's not available but coming soon. Linked in - profile views, etc..

I wonder if publishing sociable icons is better than the sharethis tool. I use both... but frankly I'm not clear which gets better usage. What was the part about tracking? :7:
